CALCULATE THE STARTING DOSE BASED ON THE KH-DEMAND
Before starting with the essentials, it is advisable to calculate the starting dose based on the KH-demand. Measure the KH-value on two consecutive days at the same time. Enter the determined KH-consumption in the corresponding field and then enter the size of your Aquarium in Net litres. Don´t forget to choose the dilution you have chosen for your Set of Essentials. The determined starting dosage is given for all 3 Essentials. Then continue as described in the user manual
Information in terms of calculating adjustments of Essentials dosage
Here we have to put some information how to use the calculator. You can choose in the first step what you want to adjust. If you want to adjust the classival dosage choose Carbonate hardness classical. If you want to adjust dosage of the alternative application you have to use carbonate hardness alternative and of course calcium alternative.People should measure the KH twice. Second time 24 hours after the first measurement. There should be some days between the first and the second measurement of calcium.
For a precise calculation of the adjustment, the selected value should be measured twice within a certain period of time. Measure carbon carbonate rates twice at intervals of exactly 24 hours (period = 1 day). The calcium concentration should be measured twice a few days apart. Specify the time period.
